Conner Madsen in Los Angeles

Well Hello again, Sorry I couldn't/didn't write an email last week, but I'm glad I was able to share something via my mom.  So, following up from that, Alejandro was baptized last Saturday, and it was absolutely wonderful.  He'd been taught basically the whole time I've been here in my mission, then he he went and saw the temple up in Santa Monica, and then he got baptized. The service was amazing, all the talks from everyone were great, the support everyone gave there was amazing. The one thing that went wrong is that well, turns out water takes a while to cool down. And we used a lot of hot water. So, it was pretty hot in the baptismal font. So much so that Élder González misspoke the ordnance for baptism and had to redo it later, but that didn't really cause any issues. I'm so happy for Alejandro and his wife Michelle, they're great people and I'm grateful to be a part of having the gospel in their lives. Other than that, not much happened tha...

We had a wonderful visit with Conner yesterday and he also was able to talk to his brother which left him with little time to write this week so he asked if I would share some of the highlights he shared with us. This past week he and his companion Elder Wirt were able to visit more with their friends Suzanne and Danielle and had a wonderful time teaching with them.  They also had the opportunity to do service for one of the member’s neighbors. His neighbor is building a home and so Elder Madsen and Elder Wirt were the helpers in transporting things, clearing away things and assisting him with other needs. Conner said it is wonderful to help others with their needs no matter what they are.  Now for the title of the email.  While they were out this week, they saw a German Shepherd puppy that was lost. They felt impressed to stop and help him. They walked around for 15 minutes hoping to find his home.  A...

Well Hello Hello, It's been a wonderful week and everything has been going great! We finally managed to teach a lesson with an someone who had been taught in the past but hadn't been taught in a while due to the pandemic and whatnot.  It went super well, and we are very excited for her. We were also found that her neighbor is interested in learning as well.  As for other anecdotes, there was a freak storm last Monday. Don't worry, nothing bad happened, in was really an amazing thing. Video is on the blog.  This past week we met a member in our zone who is a part of the 501st charity group, they make Star Wars costumes for events, and we ended up having dinner with him and seeing some of the stuff he made and wears.   Well, hello hello. Today has been quite a great week. Still loving it with Elder Wirt, he's the greatest We got to meeting with some really solid friends. My previous companion and I met a family who were really interested in hearing more from us, but stopped due to the mother suffering a wrist injury. However, they reached out and asked to come to church. So we've gone back to teaching them and they are amazing. There is so much they want to know and it's just wonderful seeing people so engaged in knowing what is true. Also this week we had a mission tour from Elder Bragg and his wife. After being out for these past few months, I've acquired a handful of questions about a lot of things in missionary work. When Elder Bragg talked to us, I felt like all my questions were answered and more. It was genuinely a wonderful experience. From this experience, I know that when we have questions and truly seek answers through the right sources, those answers will come.  It's...
