Thunderstorms and Stormtroopers

Well Hello Hello,

It's been a wonderful week and everything has been going great!

We finally managed to teach a lesson with an someone who had been taught in the past but hadn't been taught in a while due to the pandemic and whatnot.  It went super well, and we are very excited for her. We were also found that her neighbor is interested in learning as well.

As for other anecdotes, there was a freak storm last Monday. Don't worry, nothing bad happened, in was really an amazing thing. Video is on the blog.

This past week we met a member in our zone who is a part of the 501st charity group, they make Star Wars costumes for events, and we ended up having dinner with him and seeing some of the stuff he made and wears. Being a huge Star Wars fan, this was a real treat! See the pictures.

Conference was absolutely amazing! The main message that I ended up receiving is that we need to be constantly seeking to improve, in little ways and find the little things we need to strengthen in our faith. There was something that hit me during Brad Wilcox's talk: effort isn't doing something grandiose; it's doing all the little things to be able to do that grandiose thing. Effort is in the little things. So, saying: "well if only I tried harder at this thing." That's not how that works. Effort starts before our trials, not during. A marathon doesn't start at the starting line, it starts when you sign up.

So, I'd like to invite you all to seek to be better, in just one thing every day. Maybe that one thing for a whole week, maybe even a month. But I know that when you focus on improving with little steps, the next thing you know you'll at the top of the staircase as we invite the Savior to walk with us and guide us in this effort.

“It is the “endowment of strength” He gives that helps us become righteous. We are not just walking toward God and Christ. We are walking with Them. “

I know as we yoke our lives to the Savior His enabling grace will give us the strength TOGETHER to make it up each stair in our climb to becoming like Him.

Matthew 11:28-30

28 ¶ Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.

29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.

30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

I hope you all have a great week
